History

The study of History is not just limited to the study of our ancestors and past events. History Department aims to develop an understanding on the characteristics and values of our own culture, a sense of common humanity and empathy regarding problems our world is facing. The knowledge, skills, values and attitudes are built through a variety of learning activities, such as museum visits, oral history workshops and enquiry-based learning. We believe the research and analytical skills learnt in History are applicable to students’ future lifelong independent learning.
