We encourage students to make a commitment to spend significant time with a friend or family member on a regular basis. Relationships take engagement and hard work, and they’re often strengthened only when we make an effort to connect with other people. On the flip side, it is very difficult, at times impossible to change people. If you are finding a relationship is not positive, you need to take a step back and reflect on what is important for you to feel positive and happy.
Anti-bullying campaign
Building positive relationships with peers and friends is important to spread love and joy. To achieve this, we work hard to build a safe and harmonious school environment, and create a community-wide bullying prevention strategy.
We have also arranged anti-bullying campaigns to foster this mindset to students both inside and outside of the school.
We believed that providing an accurate, age-appropriate love and sex education beginning in our students’ S1 school life would equip them with the knowledge and skills they need to make informed, responsible and mature choices.
We provide opportunities to have discussion in lessons, allowing students to freely express their questions and concerns openly and honestly. We believe it is also just as important to invite experts to teach them positive views of human sexuality which helps foster teenagers to eventually experience happy and healthy intimate relationships. Supplying them with the proper language to discuss issues they may face is essential for personal safety, success, and later communication with sexual and intimate partners.
Etiquette is important wherever you are. HLC places a high priority on students’ behavior and set aside time to teach them the importance of good manners and proper social conduct, including table manners, non-verbal communication skills, decorous in appearance, manners in workplaces and public places and so on, in order to foster effective communication.
